Old town of Günzburg
Günzburg is one of the oldest towns in Germany at 1.900 years of age. It belonged to the house of Hapsburg for about 500 years which is obvious in the town center even today. Over 200 historical monuments tell the long history of Günzburg. The most salient building is the Frauenkirche, Church of Our Lady, built by Dominikus Zimmermann. You should definitely have a look at the Frauenkirche when you are wandering through Günzburg's old town. When you wander along the tracks of Günzburg's history, you probably would like to rest for a little while. Then go to the marketplace, take a seat and drink a cup of coffee. When the sun is shining, you should sit outside the café and enjoy a hint of Mediterranean flair.
